- Extend the frame brace to the side of
your vehicle's frame to the point where the outer end of the bracket
is level. Do not attach the frame brace at this time, simply butt up
against it.

brace to the bracket to a snug position only (do not fully tighten)
STEP 4e.
REPEAT this assembly and attachment proccess for the remaining bracket
or brackets on the first side of your vehicle.
STEP 5.
Attach the Tec-Bar to the Brackets.
These Tec-Bars are reinforced with steel as shown in the diagram. This

You will also note that the outer end of the bracket has 2 pre-drilled
holes.
- Position the Tec-Bar onto the outer ends
of the brackets. Make certain that the bar is centered over the 2 holes

STEP 6.
Position the Tec-Bar and Complete the Attachment
STEP 6a.
Drive the two remaining 1" self-tapping screws through the hanger
strap into the rocker panel and tighten.
STEP 6b.
- Determine the desired position of the
Tec-Bar on your vehicle.
NOTE: Loosening the bolt that attaches
the bracket to the hanger strap enables you to move the bracket up or
down. This movement alters the height of the Tec-Bar and its distance
from the rocker panel.
STEP 6c.
- Level the Tec-Bar by adjusting the length
of the frame brace. When the desired position is achieved, fully tighten
the bolt that attaches the frame brace to the bracket and tighten the
bolt that attaches the bracket to the hanger strap.
- Using the larger #12, 1" self-tapping
screws, attach the bracket extension to the frame. Pre-drilling, using
a 5/23" drill bit, may be required to complete this step. Note
that the frame brace has four optional holes for attachment. Only two
are required.
STEP 7.
Check all bolts and screws to make certain they are fully tightened.
STEP 8.
REPEAT this entire process for the other side of your vehicle.
STEP9.
Attach the full length Non-Skid Step Pads.
Remove the backing from the 3M red adhesive strips and position the step
pads onto each Tec-Bar. Press firmly throughout the entire lenght of the
step pads.
STEP 10.
Affix the Aero-Tec Logos to each Tec-Bar in a location of your choice.
